Editorial Responsibilities

The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the overall academic direction, editorial integrity, quality assurance, and final editorial decisions of JCSAI.

Associate Editors assist the Editor-in-Chief by conducting initial scholarly assessments, assigning qualified reviewers, monitoring peer review and revision, evaluating reviewer recommendations, and providing editorial recommendations within their designated areas of expertise.

Editorial Board Members support the scholarly development of the journal, recommend qualified reviewers, advise on journal policies and scope, promote institutional diversity, and assist with manuscript handling when formally assigned.

Editorial Independence and Conflict of Interest

All members of the Editorial Team are required to maintain confidentiality, disclose relevant conflicts of interest, and withdraw from handling manuscripts when their independence could reasonably be questioned.

An editor shall not participate in the assessment or decision-making process for a manuscript authored by the editor, a close collaborator, a current student, a family member, or an author from the editor’s immediate institutional unit. Such manuscripts shall be assigned to an independent editor and reviewed by qualified reviewers from different institutions.

Appointment as an editor does not guarantee publication of the editor’s own manuscript or manuscripts submitted by authors from the editor’s institution. All manuscripts are subject to the same administrative screening, scope assessment, similarity checking, double-blind peer review, revision, and final decision procedures.

The publisher, institutional partners, sponsors, and Article Processing Charge administrators shall not interfere with individual editorial decisions.

Editorial Appointment and Evaluation

Editorial appointments are subject to written consent, verification of academic profiles, and formal appointment by the publisher. The composition and performance of the Editorial Team are periodically evaluated based on expertise, institutional diversity, participation, timeliness, professional conduct, and compliance with JCSAI publication policies.

An editorial appointment may be reviewed or discontinued when a member repeatedly fails to perform assigned responsibilities, provides inaccurate professional information, breaches confidentiality, has an unmanaged conflict of interest, or violates publication-ethics requirements.
